Kerry for presidential

Perhaps you could hear my long sigh of relief. I thought Kerry was clear, concise, determined and offered a better set of solutions. Bush looked startled and confused and, for my money, kept repeating lines that Kerry’s very presence refuted.

  1. The difference in intelligence could not be more plainly manifest, I grant you (especially Kerry’s mention of his book on nuclear proliferation), and Bush did appear mesmorized at times (but that is why many are attracted to him–ala Hitler), though we follow not intelligence, but our feelings (and libidinal power principle). People think that “the war on terror” and occupying Iraq are linked, and that only Bush will continue with it: comments like this: “Well, I’m not for the war, but now that it’s begun, Bush needs to finish the job…”; and, “They attacked us, and we had to do something, so I’m glad Bush was in there…”

  2. More on Debate 1

Mike reports that a guy was standing outside South Station this morning claiming Kerry put roofies in Bush’s water last night: That’s a good way for die hard Bush fans to explain why the guy is absolutely brain dead….
