Hugh, Bryan is Msft's internal evangelist for Open Source. He's a believer. The meeting was generally friendly, with some pointed questions.

In my 20+ years of dealing with Msft, I've found almost always that the individuals are fantastic: smart, dedicated, fun, often slightly embarrassed that they're working for Msft. Composites, of course, don't always reflect the natures of the individuals.

David anything you can add about the mood, body language and such of this meeting? The microsoft team are just too well trained in their responses and i'm just so mistrusting of corporates. When your talking about a movement that has very different motivations than those we might attribute to climbing the corporate ladder in a large beast like microsoft did these guys come across like people you might find within that community? Or are they just smooth talking opportunists?
Is this an appropriate question? Maybe not.
