I got there from a comment from Elmo Gearloose (possibly a pseudonym) to a BoingBoing posting of Rush Limbaugh imitating what Hu Jintao sounds like to him — which strikes me not so much as racism as boastful ignorance. If it’s outrageous, it’s because it’s so inhospitable and unwelcoming.
