		<description><![CDATA[The Internet is only partially &#039;open&#039; at best. I can&#039;t get access to BGP, add on my own subnets, string a route to my neighbour and advertise that. Most Wi-Fi is locked down. I can&#039;t access the algorithms in the queues upstream of me and ask them to manage my traffic differently for me. There is no API to query or negotiate what the terms of connection are (&quot;VRM for connectivity&quot;). Mobility requires a service provider, rather than being supported via co-operative protocols run from the edge.

Not to say what we have is not really amazing, but it is not the last word in openness by any means!]]></description>
