Test Your Embarrassment

Here's a "fun" test for school kids. Drag 'n' drop names onto a blank map of the Middle East and north Africa. Listen to the "fun" bleep every time you get one wrong.

Heck, I didn't so badly. There were only two countries I'd never even heard of. Sigh.

Hi David,

the game went without a problem........except for all those former parts of the USSR. I recognized the names, and I knew they were down south in what used to be the USSR, but which one is which? No such problems with Africa and the Gulf region: they haven't gone and changed the maps I learned in elementary school on me there!

regards,

Ton

Wow!
Now I see why George W. was bragging about having Quatar on our side. They look like real heavy hitters in that region.

Marvel at the map!
The most interesting and motivating way I have ever learned an area map! I have since been searching for more world area maps to learn in the same fashion. No luck yet ... I know of people in the area "there" but could not "learn", or commit placement to memory until the Drag and Drop Game helped me make it such fun. Thanks for the learning game! Please post any other sites that provide this much fun learning geography of the world regions.
