David,

When I read this (David Weinberger - Heidegger scholar turned web-guru ) on the Digital Genres "Weinberger Talk" page, it occurred to me I ought to ask if you had ever hard of or read anything by David Lochhead, a former online teacher of mine (when I was doing some Doctorate of Ministry work in an experimental online degree group at United Theological Seminary in Dayton , OH. My focus of study was the use of Online Community by the Church, and the theological debate about what constitutes "Real" community.) Dr. Lochhead (he died in December 1999) was the faculty leader for our group (he was a Visting/Online professor from the University of Vancouver School of Theology). Our group met about 3 times during my 3 years of work with that group. He draws a lot upon Heidegger -- and assigned us a couple of chapters from a couple of his books. He wrote a couple of books "Theology in a Digital World" United Church Publishing House 1988, and "Shifting Realities: Information Technology and The Church" World Council of Churches Publications 1997)

Sounds like a fascinating person, but, no, he is among the many people I should know of but don't.
