Happy 5764! We Jews get to throw away our sins today. We have to ask forgiveness of those we've wronged. (If they don't accept our apology after we've offered it sincerely three times, it's on them.) More important, we have to make amends. I don't think we can blog away our sins, but if I mistreated you in this blog this past year, I am truly sorry. Let me know and I will try to make it right and will try not to do it again. BTW, if you're going to start a cult, "To heal the world" wouldn't be such a bad mission. Feel free to use it, but make sure you express it as follows:
Don't think our lawyers won't come after you. And believe you me, we have lawyers. Posted

David, please lower your voice; I was hoping it wouldn't occur to anyone to investigate that whole "Old Testament" case. . . .

Something I suddenly understood was that the Hebrew greeting for the new year is "Shana Tova" which is "Good Year" while the Anglosaxons greet with "A happy (new) year".
Since the Jewish history is very old, we are satisfied with a Good Year, and don't really expect a Happy Year.
So, let us have a Good Year.

Amen, or to be completely culturally correct, "oo-mayn", Hanan Cohen. And Shana Tova U'mituka to you and yours, David. May the world know a little more peace in the coming year, than we had in the year we just finished.

What a nice message. Shana Tova to you too.
