Sopranos Spoilers

I just posted at BlogCritics.org my guesses about how The Sopranos ends, including speculation about which characters don't make it out of the series alive.

That Russian Special Forces guy is still lurking out there; I guarantee he's gonna come back and do some major damage.

Posted by: Dean P | March 11, 2006 01:59 PM

I think that in Season 6 Christopher is going to get whacked....bet ya!!

Posted by: jodie | March 11, 2006 09:40 PM

What did Toneyu B steal that got hime sent to the pen for 17 years??????????

Posted by: kevin | March 11, 2006 09:47 PM

I agree with the russian theory....Paully Wallnuts Gets it!!!

Posted by: Anonymous | March 11, 2006 11:20 PM

I think that something bad is going to happen to Anthony jr. this season.

Posted by: Mare | April 12, 2006 02:26 PM

My friend thinks that Chris is going to contract AIDS due to all the drugs that he had shot up.

Posted by: Anonymous | April 12, 2006 03:17 PM

this is what i think will happen. dont worry about the russian guy, atleast not until the episodes after this season is done. christopher is going to take the fbi bait about the terrorist thing. note that some of his arab underlings asked for tec-9 guns... they could be working with the fbi.

Posted by: t.brown | April 12, 2006 03:20 PM

I think that the two Arab guys that bought the stolen credit card numbers from Christopher and want fire arms to do a terrorist act on something or someone. Then not only do they(those two Arab guys) get arrested but the whole Soprano Family under the Terror laws. Remember how they got Al Capone with tax evasion. Just my opinion.

Posted by: joe | April 12, 2006 03:55 PM

Tony will go straight and then he gets it!!

Posted by: dan | April 12, 2006 04:02 PM

Pauly's gonna get whacked big time. Dudes been acting just too out of control. See Ya and its been a fun ride. Good point with the russian though like to see him back.

Posted by: Paul | April 12, 2006 04:50 PM

I think AJ quits being a little wussy college dropout and is so pissed about Tony getting shot... he finnaly wacks Uncle... and becomes part of the crew so Tony has an heir to the throne and yeah I think Chris gets in trouble or gets killed.

Posted by: sam | April 12, 2006 05:11 PM

I think the guy who got his knees whacked by Paully is coming back for him. His mom (to whom Tony promised not to hurt the kid) is not going to stand for him getting hurt.

Posted by: Billy Joe | April 12, 2006 05:39 PM

So, my wife's sister Maria was over on Sunday night and she's not a Sopranos fan, but I think she came up with the ending of the series (and I hate that!)

When Johnny Sack and Tony were at the wedding, and talking about the hit Johnny wanted Tony to do for him, she screamed "why would he say that, he could have a wire on?!"

My first reaction was, "what are you talking about, no way!"

But then I thought about it and it makes a ton of sense. Why not sell Tony out? Johnny cares about his family more than the mob and he doesn't want to be in jail. He'd turn. The Feds embarrassing him at the wedding makes it even more clear that they have him by the Sack.

Tony will be at Meadow's wedding (which will be the peak of Tony's life) and he'll be carted off because Johnny has him admitting he'd be a part of the hit. That's the end.

I think it's set up well, because Christopher is crossing Tony and he'll find some way to slip up, and probably take out Paulie in the process, could get himself killed too, or he could have it in for Tony in due time. Johnny is already being looked at as half a man, for crying at his daughter's wedding. His love of his family will bring down the other family, the same for Tony. He won't be able to choose one family over another and it will all end, right at the moment when Tony could reach emotional and spiritual salvation.

Plausible?

Posted by: Gregg DeMammos | April 12, 2006 05:39 PM

Paully is likely to get it directly from Tony. He smashed up the knee of the garbage kid after Tony promised his mother that nothing would happen to him. Tony does not like it when his stooges disobey him. Besides, he's getting a little fed up with Paully as the rest of the boys are.

Here's a good line: Tony hires the Russian maniac to whack Paully for him! That's a win-win for everyone.

Posted by: Noot | April 12, 2006 05:44 PM

Adrianna is going to be the big surprise of the season. She is the only character that wasn't shown being killed and we didn't see her body. The thing is, Silvio is a deeply imbedded FBI plant who staged the "whack" and she is now in the witness protection program. If you notice, Silvio is never involved in any hits.

Posted by: Joan | April 12, 2006 05:51 PM

I think that Uncle June is faking his dimentia. He tried to have Tony whacked once before. This way, he won't have to go to prison for shooting him.

Posted by: Dani | April 12, 2006 06:38 PM

I bet you Vito takes one in the back door and one in the head. The crew is going to find out that he bats for the wrong team. This is a sign of weakness with the goodfellas so that whack him like he has never been whacked before.

Posted by: Paulie Karatzas | April 12, 2006 07:46 PM

I have a feeling that Anthony Jr. will make good on his Vendetta and kill that Mummy Uncle Jun

Posted by: KC "Fingers" Romano | April 12, 2006 07:52 PM

Tony will turn a new leaf. I watched season 5's "The Test Dream" and there is a lot of things that pertain to this season as well....

Posted by: Nick Marvalous | April 16, 2006 05:23 PM

If you remember , the FBI agents who have been watching Tony said they aren't involved in organized crime - but in terrorism. Then Tony mentions the arab guys who want guns and stolen credit cards. Too coincidental - I agree that Tony will end up involved in something to do with terrorism -either those guys are undercover or they do something terrible and Tony can't live with the guilt. Either way those cops are still watching Tony. Michele

Posted by: Anonymous | April 19, 2006 11:33 PM

i think this may be a bob newhart ending, where it is all just a dream for the salesman, who had a dream that he was tony soprano, mob boss

Posted by: blue tooth | April 24, 2006 10:35 AM

I think that Vito is going track down Finn, rape him and kill meadow when she walks in on it

Posted by: Anonymous | April 28, 2006 02:51 AM

Christopher gets it this season. During is communion to become a mobster, he saw a crow (bird of death) which means he has to die before the series ends. If this is the last season, then Christopher has to get wacked.

Posted by: johhn smith | May 8, 2006 05:44 PM

I think Paulie is gonna get whacked cuz he'll F-up really bad with something, which i am dreading cuz he is my favorite guy. hHe's just got too much (weakness) goin on with his "mother" he never knew about, and now this cancer possibility... PS i am still waiting for Tony to die so Furio can come back and get with Carmella....I kept thinking that was a for-sure thing last season... there are just too many possibilities, but on one last note, i agree with the terrorism thing - that's gonna be a huge part of the finale...

Posted by: jo | May 10, 2006 11:33 AM

You guys are crazy...

AJ is an under cover FBI agent...and Furio is a Canadian Reporter investigating Terrorism...!

The big surprise at the end of the season is going to be a surprise visit from the "REAL MOB BOSS" Ricky WIlliams...who comes down to make a crack deal with Tony.

Carmella is going to get down with Pauly cause apparently his nick name is "Big Pony".

And for the dude who said Adriana is still alive is totally Correct. Adriana was actually a man who had a sex change, and her true appearance is the biker guy Vito is banging...

Johnny Sack is in the can. Philly Leotardo is a loose cannon -- majorly. Chris and Tony bonded when they stole the wine. Chris will never turn on Tony. There are two eps this season and eight more next.

Series Ending:

Tony plans to give Vito a pass, but the crew, led by Paulie, Chris and Sil, whack him before Tony can do that. They torture him before they kill him, and Philly finds out. Philly is grateful to T for doing the "right thing."

Tony finds out that the arabs are indeed terrorists and hands them over to the Feds, who will make a major bust that makes them look great in front of everyone. Grateful feds "turn down the heat" on Tony as long as he stays away from violence.

Philly gets into a vicious war with the rest of New York, and Tony must take sides. Tony keeps equivocating, and this pisses off everyone in the family, who want Tony to take sides against Philly and with Carmine Jr., who has finally found his groove. Johnny Sack tries to intervene for Philly and ends up getting sent to a supermax.

Junior is found unfit to stand trial and is sent home. The next morning he is dead in his bed, smothered with a pillow. The cops don't know who did it, but we find out that it is AJ. The crew figures it out before Tony and take him out to celebrate his "bones." Tony realizes, somewhat sadly, that AJ has what it takes to be in and eventually run the family business. AJ is assigned as a Cugine to Christopher.

AJ then gets some assignments, and immediately makes scores that completely stun Tony and the gang, and becomes a top earner virtually overnight.

In the New York war, Tony, now the undisputed boss of New Jersey, calls for the commission to meet. He brings Bobby, Sil and Chris as his lieutenants. Bobby shocks the bosses when he asks to speak. bobby then delivers an impassioned speech about how the business is ruining itself with these wars that have been going on since Maranzano's and Masseria's time. The commission has done nothing in 20 years to get things in check, ever since Gotti.

Bobby then says that the time has come to make "our thing" one huge family, and to think of security against the Feds, and to think of how to get away from shit that attracts the feds. The idea wins favor. The commission votes to merge, with Philly objecting. He angrily storms out when the capos vote in the new East Coast Capo di Tittu Cappi: Tony Soprano.

An irrationally angry Philly offers Paulie $10 million to get close to and whack Tony, Chris and Silvio. Paulie first goes nutso with anger and then calms down and accepts the job. But, Bobby finds out when he is to meet with Paulie for money, and he sees Philly drop Paulie the $5 million downpayment.

Bobby tells Tony what happened over the phone, when circling the block. bobby casually walks in, hugs Paulie, kisses him, draws his gun and puts one in Paulie's crotch. While Paulie Screams in agony, Bobby says "TRAITOR!" puts six in his head, grabs the $5 mill and leaves.

Later on, one of Philly's associates comes and and says "did you hear what the f--k happened to tony Soprano and his guys?" Philly smiles and nods, and then the associate says, "they found out what you tried to do you piece of sh-t!" Philly dies as associate unloads his Glock.

In the Series finale, three months have passed. Tony is feted as the new undisputed Capo di Tutti Cappi. He then calls forth about ten Cugines, who are all "made." AJ is among them. Tony announces that he has appointed Bobby as his underboss, shocking the room.

Ten years pass, Tony is grayer, and is still the boss. Bobby is underboss, AJ is now a captain. Tony lives in a gigantic mansion in New Jersey; AJ has the old house.

Tony calls the captains of the family together to announce his retirement. He's pushing 60, and he wants to enjoy life. The captains ask who Tony wants to lead the family, and Tony says that they should choose their own leader.

There is another huge feast, where Bobby is taking the reins of the family. Tony hugs and kisses his brother-in-law and boards his private jet with Carm to go to Florida for a while.

As Tony leaves, Bobby accepts the accolades of the family, as the Sopranos theme song plays out.

The end

it is all just a dream. tony is the guy that lost his wallet and can't get home.

Posted by: len castaldi | May 23, 2006 07:46 AM

arab guys definitely will have a part in the ending and christopher either turn or gets wacked-- those are the only things they logically set up

Posted by: av | June 6, 2006 11:58 PM

Ok out of all these blogs, the only one I would agree with is that Ade is still Alive, I have always thought that since she got "whacked" Silvio is deffiently up to something, anyone seen Donnie Brasco??? perfect example!

If Chris sold his five cases of 86 Bordeaux for $300.oo, he is as dumb as I thought.

Tony has to be prosecuted following Silivo's working with the Feds. He eventually has day in court where Melfi will be called upon to give evidence forced to break confidentiality due to the gravity of the case. Tony is betrayed by the one person in the world he trusted completely. As Melfi's ex-husband said "Once you get past your cheesy moral relativism it comes down to good and evil -and he (Tony) is evil. This crushes Tony as he hears Melfi's testomony and expereinces flashbacks of his mothers' berating him.

AJ rises as the figure he knows he and Tony both want him to be - Michael of the Godfather. After proving himself and being accept by Tony he gives consent for him and Chris to do a routine job that goes wrong. Chris is shot dead and AJ is critical.

Camilla hires a private detective who feedbacks her suspicions that Chris and the crew were involved. She leaves Tony and visits in jail.

The media is in a frenzy as both families fall apart. Paulie shooting himself in the head in the front row of an empty church (angry and repentent).

Meadow and Fin are married on the west coast and Tony receives a picture of the wedding along with a letter from Meadow saying family life is too much and she needs a few years with no contact with Tony and Camilla to start her own life a fresh and her own family.

News comes through of AJ's death.

Tony sees "those birds" (the ducks) from his cell window. His worst fears realised; "It's all a big nothing" and his children have both left him.

Posted by: Douche Bag | December 20, 2006 06:50 AM

I think at Meadow's wedding Tony will be killed. Anthony Jr. will avenge his death, and the sopranos will have a Godfather ending of Anthony Jr. becoming the new boss.

Posted by: J-Mizzle | December 31, 2006 05:08 PM

Adrianna is not dead .
Here is what I think happened . The feds fitted her with bullet proof vest before she left the FBI office just incase Christopher did'nt agree with her and tried to have her killed . And that's what happened on that episode Chris told her he would go into the protection program but he changed his mind and Adri did'nt know that untill Silvio took her out to country , but she had her vest still on and she did'nt die , plus Silvio did'nt even haul her body off like he normaly would . She is not dead , her FBI friends rescued her and put her in the witness protection program , and I bet the time will come when she testifies against all of them , and she will be the key witness to end the whole thing .

WOW!! There are a few good theroies here. I've watched the Sopranos from day one. I've got seasons 1-6 ( the first half of course ) on DVD. I've watched it over and over and just have a real problem seeing where this will go. Paulie way get's it. That's a for sure thing. As far as Chrissy, who knows what they end up doing with him. He's a loose cannon. He's mellowed the last couple of seasons, but the pressure inside him is building. As far as Furio, dude get real. He won't be back. The Russian? I doubt it. All of the reads above are very interesting, but just liek me there are a few where we're reaching. I read an artical on a web page that said the finale will be a definate jaw dropper. It stated that people will be extremely shocked with the ending and would not have seen it coming in a million years. As far as Uncle Jun, he'll die quickly. There are only seven episodes left. They can't spend too much time on a character that is all but dead anyway. I mean what factor has he had in this anyway except for the begining? I mean really, think about it. Bobby? I would give anything to see him pop Janice. There's just something about that chic that makes me wanna puke! As far as Bobby being boss, I seriously doubt that. Silvio? Very interesting character. As far as him being a fed, who knows. I like Silvio though. He cracks me up. AJ? Again, who knows. You've got to hand it to the director and producers of the series. They're good at what they do. I wouldn't put it past Dr. Melfi to throw T under the bus, but as far as putting that bus in reverse and backing back over him to confirm the kill? I doubt it. In other words it's a long shot that she testifies against him. Carmella? Build her freakin' spec house so she'll shut up already. I like Carmella as long as she's not talking. That is one high maintenance wife right there. Meadow and Fin? They'll get married and live happily ever after on the west coast. He'll become a dentist and she a lawyer. They'll have kids and completely cut ties with everyone but Carm. T? Holy carp! I don't think he'll get away as easy at the end of season 5. It makes sence about the wire on Johnnie Sack. I think something bad will happen to him this year, but not in house. All I can say is speculate all you want, but like me a real Soprano fan is waiting in the wings for this to finally start.

This is the greatest soprano's take-off. Go to youtube under bobgolub1. If not I will send a hundred dollars to any charity.

Who ever said that Silvio wasn't involved in any hits is wrong. Silvio killed Jimmy Altieri, He was there when Puss was executed for being a rat, Ade, Fat Dom too.

benny will kill phil.

Posted by: bob | May 21, 2007 03:04 PM

Don't forget about Artie. He hasn't been around in a while and he may play a big role in the last two episodes.

Posted by: Tyrone | May 30, 2007 12:00 PM

Heres all I know:

Meadow is driving Tony's car when she is accidentally killed by Phil or one of his guys because they believe Tony is actually driving. This sets off a war between the two families.

Thats all I have so far.

Posted by: Sonny | June 1, 2007 11:16 AM

i think that at least one of these guys paulie , silvio, or phil are not gonna be alive by series end. I think tony will finally get with dr. melfi and a.j will probably follow in his father and grandfathers footsteps, but he will never be boss, he's too soft.

Posted by: cole | June 4, 2007 01:13 PM

Just an idea:
David Chase in March of this year should have said before this season started that there will be another season in 2008(Even though he knew there wouldn't be any more after this season). This way there would be no speculation about the last episode this Sunday. In other words we wouldn't know Sunday's episode was the last. That would really be a surprise, not knowing you are watching the last episode until the credits roll.

Posted by: wakamole | June 6, 2007 01:55 AM

Paulie Walnuts needs money and wants power. Who's to say he's not playin' both sides of da fence? So easy for him to whack T.

Posted by: Hello Kitty | June 6, 2007 03:26 PM

This is how Sopranos ends - true facts:

Tony gets all his family with janice together to go underground. Carmela goes to her car and bang it blows up in front of tony, aj and meadow. Tony send Meadow to go with Janice. Tony goes to see a mob boss whom we have never seen before. Aj and benny join tony to go for revenge. Tony hesitated and then is ok for aj to join. Paulie gets inside info on Phil's location. Aj and benny get there and benny kills phil and the rest of the crew. agent harris tells tony that the hit on him was called off at the end. Aj comes out with a gun pointing towards tony - yelling that he killed mon, christopher, adriana and his life. Before aj could shoot tony, agent harris steps in and shoots AJ. Last scene - aj dying in the arm of Tony.

Paulie Walnuts is the odds on favorite to turn on Tony. He had already done so in the past. If you recall, he was playing both sides of the fence when he was putting feelers out to Carmine Sr. through John. And in last weeks episode, he makes the comment that he "got through the (earlier Mafia war) Gallo war by the skin of his teeth". And how did he do that? Paulie is not totally stupid, although he gives a pretty good impression that he is. But he is a SURVIVOR. Look for Paulie to plug Tony, or at minimum, letting Phil Leotardo know where T is hiding out. The end. Arrevederci, Don Antonio.

See ya in the movies I guess.

I think that was the best ending for the sopranos and i loved it. I don't understand how it was bad? It had me on the edge of my seat the entire time and I am so glad they found and killed Phil. I think they should have made his death scene more crazy then it was though.

I was dreading that Carm, AJ or Meadow would be hurt.

I was looking at my clock on the wall hoping all of the Sopranos would survive the end of the series.

I was relieved when it ended.

The ending came to me once I realized Tivo hadn't changed the channel two minutes early.

The hit man came out of the mens room with his gun drawn and pointed directly at Tony.

Tony never heard the shot fired.

Meadow came in the door just in time to see it all take place.

There will be no movie, or alternate show.

This was a story narated in Tony's perspective.

And now he's gone.

May he rest in peace.
