Congratulations, David. Does this mean I can start poking you with sticks (even) more often, to assuage my childish resentment of authority figures?

Now I come here tonight and find out I'm the only one keeping the Big Secret. You planned it this way, didn't you? you bastard!

BTW, doesn't anyone think it's strange that BOTH bloggers at Harvard are now Daves and BOTH of them are DWs? Hmmm... ;-)
Reminds me of one of one of my favorite Dr. Seus stories.
Sorry, don't mean any disrepect, but it's pretty funny.

Not to be a pooper, but all these responses indicate the event is assumed to be a blessing. The reality is having to deal with the petty academic backstabbers. Good luck again, though, I think.
"kai su technon?"
Posted by: BW | February 27, 2004 08:29 PM
BW, I've been through the academic mill: tenure fights, curriculum committees, self-promotion through the savage use of memes, etc. Berkman's not like that. There's no tenure. There's no curriculum. And, as far as I can tell, there's no backstabbing.
Et tu, Poopus?
:)
