RSS made even easier

Yahoo has added a new link to its search results: "Add to My Yahoo." Click and the page's RSS feed is added to the list on your My Yahoo site, the personalized portal from Yahoo.

Then, if you're at, say, About.com, you'll see an "Add to My Yahoo" button that does the same thing.

Yahoo reports that the pickup of this new feature has been excellent...

i use this feature on yahoo. my only two complaints are that the updating is really slow and sometimes someone hacks into my feed and adds their blog. it may be that yahoo offers this service to paid subscribers that they get added to the feed, but the one who did it to me was listed 7 times in my rss feed but was not listed in the editing field where you can delete blogs you don't want.

We're big fans of RSS at About.com. We've been doing the newsletter thing for years, but without looking at numbers, I'm willing to bet that RSS subscribers are much more interested in the content that's fed to them.
