I just got a copy of the new book by Micah Sifry and Nancy Watzman. I haven't read it yet, but how can it be bad with a title like Is that a Politican in Your Pocket? Posted

Trivial Pursuit
In eight weeks, the bicycle business will begin to slow down. My off-season activities are lining up as follows:
1. Priority: continue learning J. S. Bach's sonatas and partitas for solo violin,
2. Continue with investigations into the history of logic: Quine, Peirce, Godel, Frege, Peano... ,
3. Continue with Cynic and Stoic studies, along with the relevant contemporary alternative schools,
4. Begin a track from Spinoza and Liebniz to Kant . I have already gone through this once in college, but I will now concentrate on these three only, bypassing Descartes, Locke, Berkley, and Hume,
5. Continue inquiry into the history, and current state, of Quantum Mechanics,
6. Attend the Academy Of Lifelong Learning, at Trinity College,
7. Attend the American Philosophical Association Conference, in Boston, this December.
I plan to take January off for leisure of some kind, still to be determined. Ideally, I'd like to bike in Italy with a girlfriend, but I may just rent a place at the CT shoreline with my cat otherwise.
