Video of my talk to the Library of Congress

I've been having trouble getting C-SPAN's video of my talk to the Library of Congress to work, so I've made a Quicktime version that you can try accessing here. It's 90MB of streamin' video. I'm working on posting some other formats as well.

Were you about to fall asleep during their introductions? Reminded me of being 13 sitting in church trying to stay awake. Hearing words like 'electrifying the work' or was that 'electrifying the word' kept me from falling asleep though. I thought it was great when they said you were Mr. Blog America, dude that's great. You can tell they're excited about the possibilities of where the Library of Congress can go but you can also foresee the pains in getting the LOC digital.

I really liked your idea about cracks in authority and knowledge. I'm even more impressed that you found time to email me after this presentation... Man, you're a machine!

No, that was embarrassment, not boredom. That's why I omitted the introduction from the version on my site.

I've made a 40MB MP3 of the audio. Would you like me to send it to you via http://yousendit.com/ ?

Michael, I just downloaded a tool to convert the audio from the AVI to an MP3. In other words: Yes! And thanks!

David, I very much enjoyed your talk and have been sending the link around to family and friends. I think it is great for those who have been having trouble getting their heads around the importance of the weblog as a form of media as well as for those who want to explore some of the epistemological consequences of a webbed world.
