This is what I wrote out, intending to jarvis it on MSNBC this afternoon. I'm not sure what I actually said.
You know what distinguishes professionals from amateurs in this line of work? The professionals can look into the image of themselves projected in front of the camera and not be thrown off by their own image or by the three second delay... [Technorati tags: msnbc blogher hoder berkman] Ian Schwartz has posted a video of the segment. Thanks, Ian! Posted

You did pretty good, David. However, I guess you may want to get some new and cool glasses. Trust what your kids suggest. :)

I've planning on going rimless for the past few years - yes, and if Larry Lessig jumped off a bridge I would also - but I haven't yet been struck by the confluence of having the spare time, having the spare money, and caring enough.

Are you referring to the way you kept looking down (or at least that is how it looked like in the WMV clip)? I thought it wasn't too distracting. You ennunciate well; I am pretty sure that if I had to do a bit like that, A) nobody would understand a word I said, and B) it would all come out in one long monotonous syllable.
If you really want an example of how not to speak on tv, you should try and catch the NASA TV show where two cartoon kids interview a cartoon scientist. The voices of the cartoon kids are done by professional actor, but (unfortunately) the cartoon scientist is not.

Yes, I was looking down. It was either that or look at myself on TV (bad enough) with a 3 second delay (killer distraction). I just don't have the guts for it.
