Applehas turned the default download of Quicktime into a full download of iTunes. If you want to get Quicktime and only Quicktime, go here. (And when you install it, carefully check the default MIME types Quicktime takes over.) Posted

Even better, get QuicktimeAlternative and avoid the gigabytes of scurf and update annoyances.

Rup3rt: I attempted to obtain the QuicktimeAlternative to avoid the gigabytes of pain, but my ie could not find the site that the link is assoc with. Please help, because I really would love to have something that plays Quicktime movies, without it being from Apple. Thanks for the help
