I will be 2 billion seconds old on 3/25/14

And I expect something nice from y'all then.

This piece of superfluity comes via TimeAndDate.com. (Thanks to Marcia Blake for the link.)

A billion seconds ago, it was 1959.

A billion minutes ago, Jesus was alive.

A billion hours ago, our ancestors were living in the Stone Age.

A billion dollars ago was only 8 hours and 20 minutes, at the rate Washington spends it.

Uh, do the math:
1000000000/60/60/24/365.25=31.68

A billion seconds ago (as of May 2005), therefore, was late in 1972.

If you don't bother to do that minimal fact-checking, how can you trust the accuracy of the rest of this piece? How about _thinking_ instead of cutting and pasting?

Jim, given my mathematical inabilities, my doing the math would not constitute fact checking. You doing the math does constitute fact cecking. Thank you.

Note to readers: Joho has never gotten a fact right.
