Here's an explanation of globish, first in English and then in globish. Very cool. About ten years ago, someone — I think a German — proposed a language that permitted speakers to mix in words from whatever language they want. So, you might say, "The ganze monde capiche this lingua." It's up to you. But I've lost the reference... (T Byfield has found a related, or possibly identical, effort.) This is how I correspond from time to time with friends and colleagues in Montreal via email or Skype IM .. a mix of English and French in the same sentence with the odd bits of Italian or Spanish thrown in .. c'est le fun, ciao.

we already have globish - its called english. it comes in flavors - singlish (singapore), taglish (south seas), or american or whatever. english is the ultimate magpie language which is why its so successful. compare and contrast with french attempts to hold on to "purity". best way to win- embrace, extend and extinguish
