Bumpersticker ambiguity

I really like Tim Bray's "Fat Pipe. Always On. Get out of the way." In fact, I took one of the bumperstickers David Isenberg had made with this slogan on it. But, as I thought about actually putting in on our car, I realized that it would be pretty scary for the cars behind me. What could they take it to mean except that I'm having a problem with my exhaust system — it's always on and ready to blow? (Worse, our son Nathan points out that out of context it could be taken as meaning the pipe is pumping fat.) [Tags: tim_bray david_isenberg bumperstickers]

I'm going to refrain from posting what was originally in this comment box because appears to be a family friendly weblog, but the first two words could be considered ... suggestive, and the rest only makes it worse.

Fat pipe could also be a drug reference, so it could mean, "I'm always high smokin' this fat pipe, so watch for my erratic driving!"
