Jon Udell is pushing a mower

Jon writes about why he uses a modern old-fashioned push mower.

I use handclippers about twice a season and tell my neighbors that my puppetmaster, Al Gore, demands clumpy meadows. [Tags: lawns gardens lazy_bastards]

I think Jane and Audrey had a sister named "Clumpy." Perhaps your interpretation of your puppet-master's demand was - well - naive?

Fp, I believe you've confused Clumpy Meadows with Patchy Meadows. Clumpy was for a brief time a replacement for Shemp in the Three Stooges and for years had a kid's TV show in NY, until he made a joke that involved a baseball player's wife's habit of kissing his baseballs for luck. Patchy, on the other hand, was Audrey and Jane's buse iness manager and only appeared in front of the cameras once, as an extra in the famous boiler room scene in "A Night at the Hockey Rink." It's an easy mistake to make...

I'm always confusing Harpo with Karl too. And their mutual nephew Kevin.
