McAfee acquired SiteAdvisor last week. I'm a big fan of SiteAdvisor (Disclosure: I'm also a stock-owning advisor), and I'm pleased that it seems like McAfee is going to keep it going in its current direction as a free service and a good citizen.(I'm an advisor because I feel this way, not vice versa.) If you haven't downloaded the SiteAdvisor browser plugin, I recommend that you do so. I use its evaluations at least several times a day. [Tags: siteadvisor mcafee spyware malware] Posted

Isn't it funny how the only sites you are a "big fan of" are sites that pay you in stock. I wonder why that would be. (You're just as corrupt as the rest of them.)

Now, now - not that David [Weinberger] needs it at all, but I'd defend him here. His whole business model is being a marketing guru, and he's quite open about it. Frankly, SiteAdvisor strikes me as a far more "moral" venture than many blogging-related companies! If I were to pick a company to criticize regarding A-list corruption, it sure wouldn't be SiteAdvisor (or, for that matter, FON). So I think the criticism is very misdirected in this particular case.

Apparently all of @microsoft.com has been blocked from using the site. :P

Yikes! I've passed this info onto my friends at SiteAdvisor.
