Obama has released his tech policy. It's terrific, and squishy only in the difficult places where politicians always get squishy: How exactly are you going to enforce Net neutrality and get the telcos to behave? etc. (Disclosure: I am a volunteer advisor to the Edwards' campaign on Net policies. Edwards' stance is also really good. And I'm glad to have candidates trying to out-open-Internet each other.) Posted

I work for the Hands Off the Internet group, where we take a pretty skeptical view of net neutrality, and certainly Obama's pledge to get all regulatory about it.
However, I was struck by another part of his speech that seemed related -- Obama said he would be vigilant about enforcing antitrust law. Now, I'd argue the cases of possible network neutrality violations that truly rise to the level of needing redress, are already covered by antitrust law.
So I'm all for this part of the statement. His call for limitations on how ISPs can price their services, on the other hand, not so thrilled.
