Our decision, not his

Ted Kennedy, the lion of the Senate, has posted a petition in support of his bill that would prevent any further escalation until the President presents a plan for success and Congress approves.

Maybe the bill is a symbolic action. Symbols count. [Tags: politics iraq bush ted_kennedy]

That's the thank-you for signing and invite friends link.

The actual petition is at http://www.tedkennedy.com/page/s/ourdecision

Thanks. I signed it. Symbolic in the sense if passed Bush would simply veto it, but not symbolic in the sense it is an actual Bill. Others in the Senate are proposing a "non-binding resolution" which really is only symbolic.

Thanks, Jonathan. I fixed the link. Heck, it wasn't a complete 404, which for me is like getting a link right!

This is definitely an approach that was taken with radar guns, but only because they were not closed-source. In other words the accuracy had to improve because it was widely revealed how innacurate they were on the whole.
