Michael Geist blogs about a Canadian government study that found that the more you do peer-to-peer downloading, the more CDs you purchase. Says the study: "We estimate that the effect of one additional P2P download per month is to increase music purchasing by 0.44 CDs per year." The post has been slashdotted where there's useful discussion trying to figure out what the stats actually mean. [Tags: music p2p riaa michale_geist everything_is_miscellaneous] Posted
