Photos of tape cassettes

Jason Toal is researching people's relationships to their tape collections by aggregating photos at flickr. A weird but wonderful idea. [Tags: jason_toal flickr research tapes everything_is_miscellaneous]

Jason also mentions Gene Smith's collection of photos of name tags at the Information Architecture Summit, which is several degrees of meta.

Great idea - here in Denmark we have had a bookshelf-meme running around for a while - people are sharing photos of their books and it is really interesting to see what people have on their bookshelves:

Thanks for posting this David,

I am drawn to the bookshelf idea as well. There is a similar group running on flickr. It seems people love looking at, and commenting on what others have displayed on their shelves.

even more so than tapes!
