Stupid flippin' cellphone

Cell phones have clocks built in. So, if their batteries are low, why can't they figure out not to give you warning beeps if it's the middle of the night? What are they, babies?

I have the only cell phone in the universe that is unable to give the correct time. The young salesmen were unable to fix it, so that means us old fogeys can't. Luckily mine is an "always off cell phone" so I don't need it for the time.

Most cell phones are not designed to take the context in which they operate into account...a lot of research has gone into how to design phones to anticipate the needs of the person using them, but the obvious sometimes eludes design...how the phone supposed to know that the time it recognizes the battery is low is the same time you are sleeping? Do you typically recharge it in a regular timeframe? Just curious, cause I'm sure you recognize the limitations of artificial intelligence in its capability to guide devices to anticipate user activity, or inactivity...
