Susan Mernit learns from fads

Susan Mernit has a nice post about what we can learn from Facebook, Twitter, et al., even if you think they're just fads.

My overall lesson from such sites - much in line with Susan's -- is that we really enjoy one another. [Tags: susan_mernit facebook twitter everything_is_miscellaneous ]

Check out that user agreement you read when you signed up for facebook. Read it very carefully. Quite scary. I'll let you read it for yourself, but it might make a good blog.

D"oh. I really ought to have my blogging license revoked.

I've added the link into the post itself. Thanks.

I dunno, David. Am I the only person in the world who,
a.) Finds that descriptions of Facebook and the like makes their skin crawl, and,
b.) As a general principal, avoids anything that requires registration?
