Create a text document with your favorite editor and paste the text into the "Marked Up Text" window. (Or you can type straight into that window.) The "Test it" button will load the transformed version into a box on this page.
The "Launch it" button will load it in a separate browser window; that's the live and finished product. Advance the slides by clicking in that window.
To prepare text to display as a series of slides, begin each slide with at least four dashes at the very beginning of the line. The following example should be self-explanatory.
----
=Headlines begin with an equals sign
==Subheads begin with == (up to 6)
*Bullets begin with an asterisk
*This is another bullet
-------
=The dashes above this headline indicate the start of a new slide - use 4 or more
+A bullet that begins with a plus won't appear until you click the slide
+This bullet is followed by an image that will appear next
+<img src="http://www.mysite.com/a_photo_or_image_file.jpg">
=This is a headline at the bottom of the slide. Headlines can go anywhere.
---------------
=You can use HTML mark up
*If you are familiar with HTML, you can embed it and it will be rendered by your browser.
*For example, <b>this</b> is bolded.
*And this will be a simple table
<table border="1pt"><tr><td>One Cell</tr></td></table>
You can control the look of your slideshow by entering the path to a standard CSS file. Headlines are H1's and bullets are P's. (If you don't know what I mean, I'm sorry.)
You can save your finished presentation by launching it and then using the browser's File > Save function.
