   Average height of a Roman Soldier — 5 foot one inch. I doubt if you could have kicked his ass though. The Roman Army marched about twenty miles a day each soldier carrying his kit, weapons and a wooden stake. Then, after twenty miles they halted and built a camp surrounded by a wall and ditch. Might tough those Romans.
