Kerry and Dean in dead heat in NH

Democratic presidential contender John Kerry holds a shrinking three-point lead over Howard Dean on the eve of the New Hampshire primary, according to a Reuters/MSNBC/Zogby poll released Monday.

…Kerry led Dean 31 percent to 28 percent in the new poll, with John Edwards jumping three points to narrowly trail Wesley Clark for third place, 13 percent to 12 percent. Connecticut Sen. Joseph Lieberman remained static at 9 percent – Wired News

Yeaaaarrrggghhhh. I cannot take the G’s, cap’n!

  1. See the AP story. Other polls give Kerry a consistent double digit lead. Who knows? Is Zogby an anomaly? I recomend posting all the polls just so we can see how varialbe they are. Perhaps only good for trends?

I doubt Kerry wins by 20 — races tighten up and the NH voters love to surprise us all.

    Tomorrow will be interesting indeed.

  2. All I care about is that Kerry leads Dean and Clark finishes 3rd (or at least respectable double-digits). Wes can then go on to show his mettle on Feb 3. If he doesn’t look viable at that time, I’ll begin supporting someone else.

  3. The American Research Group tracking poll gives Kerry a much more significant lead, with Dean statistically tied with Edwards and Clark. If these figures don’t converge by tomorrow morning, at least one firm is going to be very very embarassed tomorrow night.

Also note that in the ARG tracking polls for next week’s primaries in AZ, OK, and SC, each state has a different front-runner (Kerry, Clark, and Edwards, respectively), and “undecided” is in a statistical tie with the front-runner.

Look at the bright side: every column-inch spent dissecting the race among the Democrats is a column-inch not spent passing along FUD from the Bush Administration.
