Dayglo Future

Some folks have started a futurist/singularity/cosmic sort of blog. I’m not much of a believer in the thought-is-software idea and have only achieved enlightment a couple of times in my life and then it came in the form of a pill, but the site is lively in the Bucky way and is full of colorful illustrations.

  1. Hi David, believe it or not I too am skeptical that our consciousness can be continued via software. The furtherest I’ve been able to consider the idea is that all of the intricate details of our brain can be “re-engineered” using denser/faster hardware, rather than as simply software.

Beyond the scope of the site is simply to present a positive pro-active future regardless of your philosophical take on any particular future.

IMHO, your site counts as one of these. :-)

  2. I sort of knew that in my haste I was over-generalizing about your blog. Sorry! (I meant “lively in the Bucky way” as a high compliment, btw.)

Nevertheless, it is definitely Dayglo :)

  3. FYI, BTW:

    da·go [ dáy go ] (plural da·gos, da·goes) or Da·go [ dáy go ] (plural Da·gos, Da·goes)
    noun
a taboo term for somebody of Italian, Spanish, or Portuguese birth or descent
[Mid-19th century. Variant of the name Diego .]

    Day-Glo [ dáy glo ]

Uh hunh. I guess there are no Italians on the product development panel for that company.
