How to fold a shirt

I believe this is very old news, but it sure is amusing: Learn how to fold a t-shirt perfectly in 3 seconds. (Well, it takes about 15 seconds to learn how to fold it, but folding it actually takes less than 3 seconds.)

  1. Gee, I don’t know how your t-shirts come out of the dryer, but it’d take me more than thirty seconds just to get the damn things to lie flat like that! Plus, I’d have to do the folding either kneeling on the floor or standing over a table of some kind. I do all mine sitting on the couch, watching TV.

It is pretty neat though, in some sort of quasi-topological, origami-ish way.

  2. funny!

  13. She’s giving us step-by-step instructions. She says:

“Using the left hand, grasp the shirt at the middle, 1/4 of the way in from the far edge. With the right hand, grasp the shirt at the shoulder parallel to where the left hand is. Take the right hand (holding the shoulder) over to the hem at a point parallel to the left hand. Now, holding both the shoulder and the hem in the right hand, uncross your arms and shake the t-shirt to smooth it out. Then, lay it down so that when you fold it over, the sleeve is underneath. That’s it, now your shirt is nice and tidy.”
